Register Today To See Keynote Speakers: Jim Ashley and Aaron Thomas at the Fort Worth IT Symposium o

The Dallas Fort Worth chapter of the Society for Information Management ([SIM) announces the Fort Worth IT Symposium is returning to Fort Worth, Texas at the Fort Worth Convention Center on August 9th, 2018. This is a one-day, executive-level event designed for CIOs and their management teams. There will be nearly 200 CIOs, VPs, Directors and Managers present at this year’s event.

The Fort Worth IT Symposium is the region’s major gathering of leaders, professionals, and academics working in the I.T. field. As technology continues to redefine the boundaries of industries and replace markets’ traditional geographic regions with borderless digital environments, it has become essential for local organizations to be aware of the global trends in their sectors and implement strategies to integrate them into their operations in order to be able to stay agile and maintain their competitive edge. This year’s symposium will look at emerging I.T. trends and provide insights into innovative leadership skills in today’s fast-paced digital age. This interactive event will also provide attendees with opportunities to collaborate and share their knowledge and experiences through a series of panels, break-out sessions, and networking.

Jim Ashley, SVP & CIO, Ben E. Keith will open the day with his presentation called, "Business Led IT: You Have The Seat At The Table, Now What?". IT Leaders are always striving to be in the inner circle and his presentation looks at the keys to giving a business centric focus to your IT organization.

Join our afternoon panel of seasoned IT leaders to learn the best routes from those who have summited the CIO ranks before you. Our panelists: Kevin Campbell (former SVP/CIO, Hunt Consolidated, Inc.), Barry Carter (CIO, RealPage, Inc.) and Charlie Feld (former CIO, Frito-Lay) will share life and career lessons learned as well as how to prepare for the ever shifting demands of the CIO role.

Aaron Thomas, Author & Speaker, The Sacred Acre, will close the day with his "Opportunities & Platform: Overcoming Adversity" presentation. Aaron will challenge you to look at your life, your family, and your job to see if you are maximizing the circumstances you are presented with.

In addition to the two keynotes and afternoon panel there will be 12 breakout sessions throughout the day focused on security around the Cloud, data analytics, staff development, diversity in technology, GDPR, cloud computing, industry change, AR, Blockchain, and the latest technology products.

Attending the 2018 Fort Worth IT Symposium is an opportunity for leaders engaged in Technology to network and explore new ways to maintain competitive advantage in a global economy. The ability to collaborate and exchange actionable information with peers makes this event rewarding and productive.
