The 8th Annual Nashville IT Symposium is Returning to Nashville at the Omni Hotel on May 1, 2018

The Nashville IT Symposium is the region’s premier event for IT leaders to network, educate and collaborate. As technology continues to play an ever-increasing role in the success or failure of every company, face to face events have become even more important. This event allows the region's IT executives the opportunity to discuss common professional issues, technology issues and how emerging technologies have the potential to impact their organization.

The CIO Panel of Deanna Steele (Ingram Content Group), Hugh Hale (State of Tennessee, Division of TennCare), and Manish Shah (Community Health Systems) will start the day off by engaging in an interactive Q & A with our audience members. This session will answer questions such as:

  • How do you project the impact of business changes on technology in 5+ years?

  • Where do you look for your insights into the future?

  • What about the future excites you the most?

  • What concerns you most?

Sunny Grosso, Culture Specialist at Zappos will lead an engaging presentation entitled, “How an Enduring Culture of Happiness Drives Business Results”. As a business leader, it is imperative to attract and retain the region’s top talent. Sunny will share insights from over a decade of research as well as examples of how Zappos has created a culture of happiness and fulfillment for their employees, and how this has had a direct positive impact on the company’s “bottom line”.

We will end the day with a story and lesson you will not forget. Join Aaron Thomas, an unassuming Principal & Head Basketball Coach from Iowa as he shares the story of his father, and Arthur Asche Award Recipient, Ed Thomas. Aaron will share his family’s tragic story and how they rose above it to lead their community rather than wallow in their sorrows.

In addition to our keynotes, there will be 16 breakout sessions and panels throughout the day focused on security, big data, and data analytics, business automation, block chain technology, machine learning, preventing job dissatisfaction, and the latest emerging technology products.

Attending the 2018 Nashville IT Symposium is an opportunity for leaders engaged in technology to network and explore new ways to maintain a competitive advantage in a global economy. The knowledge transfer at this event is sure to create a competitive edge for your organization.
