SIM Las Vegas To Host The Nevada IT Symposium At The Tuscany Suites And Casino On April 4, 2018

The Nevada IT Symposium is a gathering of local leaders, professionals, and academics working in the I.T. field. As technology continues to redefine the boundaries of industries and replace markets’ traditional geographic regions with borderless digital environments, it has become essential for local organizations to be aware of the global trends in their sectors and implement strategies to integrate them into their operations in order to be able to stay agile and maintain their competitive edge.

This year’s Symposium will look at emerging I.T. trends and provide insights into innovative leadership skills in today’s fast-paced digital age. This interactive event will also provide attendees with opportunities to collaborate and share their knowledge and experiences through a series of panels, break-out sessions, and networking opportunities.

Attending the 2018 Nevada IT Symposium is an opportunity for leaders engaged in technology to network and explore new ways to maintain competitive advantage in a global economy. The ability to collaborate and exchange actionable information with peers makes this event rewarding and productive. Attending this event also gives you the chance to be a part of this year's community give-back. The Nevada IT Symposium has given back over $30,000 to local charities over the last two years.

The opening keynote, titled “Innovation Drives - How to Transform Your Organization from Change Agents to Change Artists, and Become Masters of the Marketplace” will be delivered by Tamara Kleinberg, Founder/CEO, Launchstreet. Tamara shares why most companies struggle to create a culture that produces consistent innovation – and then shows how anyone can create a culture that inspires new thinking, customer focus, experimentation, and business growth.

Wesley McPherson will deliver the afternoon keynote. Wesley McPherson is a Research Director at Info-Tech Research Group. Wesley has focused his career on digital transformation, data driven transformation and cyber security. Wesley’s major areas of research and advisory experience have been on security strategy development, CISO enablement and risk management. His presentation is title “The Moneyball CIO – Learning the Science of IT Decision Making.”

The closing keynote is Steve Brown, the Bald Futurist. Steve helps organizations to understand the major technologies that will shape the future five, ten, or fifteen years from now, and then to determine the strategies they will need to follow to take full advantage of the opportunity that is being created. Steve inspires his audiences to think beyond the current status quo, and to imagine ways that they can optimize operations, create new value, and delight customers in new ways, all by taking full advantage of emerging new technology platforms.

Along with the tremendous lineup of keynote speakers, this event will give attendees unlimited access to a variety of breakout sessions to learn how their peers are overcoming common obstacles that many of Nevada’s local organizations are facing.
