Central Florida Innovation Connection Will Take Place on May 22, 2018 at The Rosen Centre in Orlando

The Society for Information Management (SIM) Central Florida Chapter announces the 2nd Annual Central Florida Innovation Connection returning to Orlando, Florida at the Rosen Center on May 22, 2018. This is a one-day networking and educational conference designed for Senior Information Technology leaders. There will be over 200 CIOs, VPs, Directors, and Managers present at this year's Central Florida Innovation Connection.

The Central Florida Innovation Connection is Central Florida's premier event for IT leaders to network, educate and collaborate. As technology continues to play an ever-increasing role in the success or failure of every company, face to face events have become even more important. This event allows the region's IT executives the opportunity to discuss common professional issues, technology issues and how emerging technologies have the potential to impact their organization.

Bryce Austin, best-selling author and technology executive, will lead an extremely timely and compelling discussion entitled, "Innovation Through Cybersecurity; How to Gain a Competitive Edge While Your Competition is Snoozing." Wannacry. Petya. Ransomeware. Spearphishing. Equifax. These terms have made headlines around the world. Companies have been caught in the crossfire between cyber-attacks launched by one government against another. Turning a blind eye and hoping that your company will not be a victim is no longer an option. The threat is real. So is the opportunity. Companies can start using cybersecurity as a competitive advantage, not a necessary evil. Join Bryce as he brings these concepts to life for you and your team. This keynote will examine a spectacular in-car racing footage for signs to detect, react, prevent and mitigate life safety issues on the racetrack. Then, we'll apply those techniques to the business world to see how cybersecurity can be a competitive advantage to your organization.

Todd Cohen, author, will kick off an energetic keynote with his presentation entitled, "Everyone's in Sales! How to Communicate the VALUE of I.T. to Guarantee Continued Investment; Safeguard Job Stability and Ensure Department Growth!". CIOs and the entire Information Technology department must know how to sell themselves, their ideas and their value to the business every day to ensure the long-term viability and growth of the I.T. organization. Connecting I.T. to the business is mandatory and it all starts with people knowing WHAT you do and HOW it will help them achieve their goals. This interactive session will help your team create value propositions that show how your team and their expertise can assist the business in reaching its goals.

In addition to our keynotes, there will be 16 breakout sessions and panels throughout the day focused on security, big data, and data analytics, business automation, block chain technology, machine learning, vendor relationship management, and the latest emerging technology products.

Attending the 2018 Central Florida Innovation Connection is an opportunity for leaders engaged in technology to network and explore new ways to maintain a competitive advantage in a global economy. The knowledge transfer at this event is sure to create a competitive edge for your organization.
