VP of Information Technology
Creighton University
Brian is the Vice President of Information Technology at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Prior to arriving at Creighton in 2003, Brian was the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York. He received his Master's of Public Administration (MPA) with a specialty in management Information Systems from the
University of Dayton. Brian is extensively published in the field of Information Technology and holds several technology patents for innovative applications.
Since his arrival at Creighton University, Brian has brought diversity to Information Technology through his ability to recruit top talent from all backgrounds. He has implemented a campus-wide Exchange integration, systematic rewiring of campus buildings, a complete overhaul and rebuilding of the university website and a total data center upgrade project, just a few among many projects he has launched and executed.
Brian has been an integral part of fundraising for the university as well as bringing technology awareness to the community through his involvement in local and national events and educational opportunities including being a member of the Board of Directors for Nebraska Public Television and Douglas-Omaha Technology Commission boards. Brian has also been extensively involved with volunteering his time for work with the children’s hospitals of New York, Ohio and Nebraska.
Brian’s fresh and common sense approach to management has made him a dynamic leader for Creighton University and the Omaha community. Brian daily models his motto: “Do the right thing”.
