Throughout his 25 year career in Information Technology, Jeffrey Ton, has developed and fine tuned his leadership skills to become a business focused CIO who drives results through technology. He has combined his experience from several industries, including commercial real estate development, manufacturing, consulting, and banking with his experience in companies ranging from five employees to 60,000, and with his experience as a consultant, developer, entrepreneur, and manager to create a truly unique leadership style and vision of Information Technology.  

Currently, Jeff is a Vice President for Lauth Property Group with responsibilities for its entire portfolio of technology. As one of the senior managers, he oversees a wide variety of activities including Business Process Management; design, implementation and support of a multi-faceted application portfolio; design, implementation and support of systems and networks that support a nationwide business; to leading the research and design for uses of technology in Lauth’s portfolio of commercial buildings. In addition, Jeff is responsible for the strategic planning for process, information and technology and how it aligns with the growth and development of Lauth’s business activities.  

Prior to joining Lauth, Jeff gained valuable experience as a director of information technology with Thomson, Inc. During his tenure with this worldwide leader in consumer electronics, Jeff gained valuable experience in such varied technologies as Web Development, Customer Relationship Management, Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, Order Management Systems, Warehousing and Supply Chain Systems, and Electronic Data Interchange and Enterprise Application Integration. His leadership skills were strengthened by the challenges of managing a multinational team of 40 – 50 developers, managers and analysts. His teams were spread across three continents and six countries, including the US, France and India.  

Jeff is recognized as a problem solver, whether it is an issue of technology, process, organization or personnel. Central to Jeff’s success is his drive to achieve results and his passion for his vision. His teams look to him as a dependable leader with integrity, compassion and empathy. He possess a unique talent for seeing both sides of a conflict and identifying unique paths to resolution. His staff knows his door is always open, and he uses this philosophy to coach his team to grow and thrive. When asked how he has been able to achieve results, his answer is simple: “People! I’ve always been lucky enough to have great people and a great team!”  

Jeff grew up with a passion for sports and music, later he became interested in computers. Through computers he was able to combine his competitive spirit and his creativity to become a software developer with a knack for solving complex business problems with easy to use software solutions. He was able to leverage this experience to develop a multi-decade career in Information Technology executive management.
