Denise Stephens is the Vice Provost for Information Services and Chief Information Officer at the University of Kansas.  Her responsibilities include oversight and management of information technology resources and services, IT infrastructure development, and library services for the Lawrence and Edwards campuses. She provides leadership for the IS organization, comprised of the Libraries, Information Technology, and Networking and Telecommunications Services.  In addition, the vice provost and her staff coordinate information and technology policy, IT security efforts, and IS technical architecture.  The Office of the Vice Provost also collaborates with partners at the KU Medical Center and other Kansas Regents institutions on information technology issues.
