Kurt is an 11 year veteran of the IT industry.  His career has included Government Service, IT consulting and IT management. Kurt has come up through the IT ranks, starting his career as a software developer and evolving into a leader in process and organizational strategy for NYK System Research Institute (NSRI), the IT ARM of NYK Line, a global Fortune 500 shipping company.  Kurt is certified in ITIL (v2 and v3) best practices and has spent the past five years implementing and maintaining those guidelines in a Global IT organization.   Kurt has also been instrumental in the establishment of IT operational automation at NSRI yielding between $5 - 10 million in resource savings annually and is currently heavily involved in ITIL Service Strategy, specifically Financial Management.   At NSRI, he is leading the effort to understand how IT spending is applied to IT Services and how that understanding can be used to support risk analysis and improve decision making.
