A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Scott began career in audit and security. He is a Certified Public Accountant who has spent the last 15 years in Healthcare technology management.  His experience spans from Fortune 500 companies to specialty hospitals.  Currently he is working for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, a Catholic not-for-profit organization with more than 100 health and shelter organizations in Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado and Illinois.  In Southeast Wisconsin, WFH is co-sponsored by the Wheaton Franciscan and the Felician Sisters and employees nearly 12,000 associates, making it the second largest private employer in the area.  Hospitals include All Saints in Racine County, St. Joseph, The Wisconsin Heart Hospital, St. Francis, and Franklin in Milwaukee County, and Elmbrook Memorial in Waukesha County. The region also includes Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group with more than 350 primary care and specialty physicians.

Scott controls a large IT budget and is responsible for maintaining Wheaton's IT infrastructure, including servers and desktops. Additionally, he has led Wheaton's effort to develop more comprehensive application performance monitoring capabilities. This effort is designed to help in physician adoption of Wheaton's Electronic Health Record initiative, a multi-year project that will transform how Wheaton delivers healthcare.
