Ron Schlicht
Skogens Festival Foods
Ron Schlicht has been in the IT industry for the past 25 years having worked in the petroleum, retail, hospitality, service and manufacturing sectors. As the Director of Information Technology for Skogens Festival Foods, Ron is faced with the challenge of bringing a $350M family owned supermarket chain into current technologies and then empowering the 2,800 employees to utilize them. He is currently working to upgrade their point-to-point network to an MPLS infrastructure. His responsibilities include all of the usual IT areas as well as the Central Item File, Pricing and Receiving departments of the company.
Ron is very active with the vendors he deals with and is currently serving on the National Advisory Board for NCR. He has partnered development projects with Video Eye integrating POS with Video Security Systems and Midax integrating POS with a transaction switch and data warehouse. He was also a presenter to the Food Marketing Institue’s National 2006 Convention in San Diego
Ron obtained his bachelors degree in Computer Science from theUniversity of Wisconsin – La Crosse
