Russell is currently the IT Supervisor for Nicholas and Company, an independent, broadline, foodservice distributor headquartered in Salt Lake City.  He has worked in the IT field for 8 years with a focus on server administration and consolidation for the last 6 years.  He provides strategic and operative support for the entire IT Infrastructure and Data Center, including high availability and disaster planning as well as server virtualization and consolidation.   He leads the IT Operations group at Nicholas and Company comprised of network and applications administrators as well as help-desk support.   He has experience with a broad range of Operating Systems and Applications, including VMWare ESX, i5 OS, RedHat Linux, MS Server 2008, and other sundry applications.  His focus has been to stay on the cutting edge of datacenter hardware including UPS systems, Bladecenters, iSCSI, and SAN technology, as well as datacenter virtualization with VMWare and iSeries Logical Partitioning.
