Colin is an analyst in Forrester's Computing Infrastructures research group. His research focus covers data center management, mainframe systems, and storage. More specifically, he specializes in IBM mainframe processors, operating systems, and clustering technology; data center operations and technical support issues; mainframe software asset management; and cross-platform data storage hardware, software, and business continuity best practices.
Colin's expertise and practical experience extend to multiple data center consolidation efforts, high-availability initiatives, and disaster recovery projects. He has 12 years of experience managing various programs and projects in both data center operations and technical support organizations. He came to Forrester through its acquisition of Giga Information Group. Prior to joining Giga, Colin held technical marketing, technical support, and consulting positions at IBM. Colin graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in electrical engineering from Duke University. He also earned an M.B.A. in finance and international business from New York University, where he was one of two candidates awarded recognition as a Stern Scholar for academic excellence.
