Dan Polkow joined GMAC ResCap in 1999. He has led the design and development efforts for several business areas including the Residential Money Centers, the Service Delivery Group, and currently heads up Standardized Support Operations. Today he focuses on building the premier onshore/offshore delivery center (ODC) at GMAC ResCap. With 32 years of experience, he has held positions in IT senior management, project management, consulting, and application development & support.
Prior to coming to GMAC ResCap, Dan spent 8 years in the healthcare industry. For 2 years, he was Vice President of Operations at the Adesso Specialty Service Organization in San Jose, California. Adesso was an early stage healthcare company backed by venture capital that designed and implemented a risk based payment model for the 10 largest physician specialties. He had full accountability for the daily operations, application systems development, customer service, claim operations, clinical review, and physician payment. Additionally, he spent 6 years at Aetna, Inc. as the Director of Pharmacy Systems and Central Region Manager for HMO Systems.
With 19 years of functional expertise across the full range of financial services and healthcare domains, he continues to leverage his financial modeling acumen to help businesses achieve their goals and help technology organizations to leverage the best global delivery techniques available today.
Dan holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management with concentration in Finance, and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a concentration in MIS.
