Paul Farrell

Paul Farrell has over 20 years experience in technology implementation, support and management. He started his career with Monarch Marking Systems in 1987, working as a Field Support Technician in the barcoding and inventory management industry. Paul made a career change to Information Technology in 1995. His first IT position was working as a Systems Engineer for a Systems Integrator located in Omaha, Nebraska. In that capacity, he specialized in Novell networks and document management solutions for a number of law firms in the Omaha area. In 1999, Paul began working for Utilicorp United, which later became Aquila and is now Black Hills Corporation. There he has held a number of IT positions, from Deskside Support to his current role as IT Infrastructure Manager. In this role, he leads a team of Systems Engineers responsible for all aspects of server and storage infrastructure, including design, implementation, management and disaster recovery.
Paul is a certified 6 Sigma Green Belt. He earned this certification at Aquila by leading a number of projects related to server consolidation, storage optimization and virtualization.
Paul has an Associate of Applied Science degree from DeVry University in Phoenix, AZ and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management-Computer Information Systems from Park University in Parkville, MO.
