Roger Neal is currently the Vice-President of Information Technology/Chief Information Officer for Duncan Regional Hospital. He began his technology career in 1994 when accepting a job with Jackson County Memorial Hospital as a pc technician and trainer. Over the next several years, Roger continued to grow his technical knowledge in healthcare and in 1996, was promoted to the Director of Information Systems. In 2000, Roger completed his Master of Science in Telecommunications Management degree at Oklahoma State University and that same year accepted a position as Director of Information Technology for the Resident Shows Division of the world renowned Cirque du Soleil. Innovation was a key factor in Roger’s success during his
time “running away with the circus”.

In 2001, Roger accepted a position as Director of Information Technology and Telecommunications at Duncan Regional Hospital. In January 2006, Roger was promoted to the new role of CIO, then in May promoted again to Assistant Vice-President/Chief Information Officer. In January 2009, Roger was promoted to Vice-President where he continues to plan, implement and support the use of innovative technology solutions in healthcare to meet its
financial and social mission. As Vice-President, Roger was also asked to take on the administrative role for the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma - Duncan site, Duncan Regional's Auxiliary group and the DRH Hands on Health Interactive Museum. Since 2001, Roger has lead technology initiatives to move the hospitals infrastructure to the fore front and has worked to develop a culture of success on every technology project. Roger’s team has lead
successful projects including the installation of a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) hospital wide, electronic nursing documentation systems, integrated physician office systems, patient safety systems and a host of other technology projects. With his leadership, Duncan Regional Hospital has obtained a lasting reputation as one of the nation's top technology hospitals. Duncan Regional continues to excel in technology implementation, patient safety and a number of areas in the healthcare industry.

Roger is happily married to Melissa and they have two children, Taylor and Jake, who are the light of their lives. In his spare time, Roger enjoys just spending time with his family and friends, fishing, reading and being involved in his community. He is involved in a number of community efforts and continues to be an active member of Advisory Boards for companies such as ClearCube Technology, Medical Information Technology (Meditech) and CDW. Roger is an active member of both HIMSS and CHIME and enjoys sharing his experiences with others through a number of speaking engagements every year.
