Mowris has an extensive background in a variety of key technology and consulting roles with 15 years in computer services, 15 years in the banking industry and 6 years in the consulting field at the executive level. Currently he serves as Vice President, Director of Information Technology for Commerce Bank located in Kansas City, MO where he is responsible for a broad range of data center management services.

For 6 years prior to Commerce Bank , Mowris was a Senior Vice President  for Speer & Associates, Inc. conducting strategic and tactical consulting engagements throughout North and South America for financial institutions and technology organizations serving the financial services market space. Before S&A, Inc. he served as Senior Vice President of Client Development Services for First Data Corporation providing client specific application development services through his organization to the then largest clients of FDR.

For ten years prior to FDR, Mowris held a variety of key technology leadership roles with Wachovia Bank having moved there after a ten year career with Comshare Inc., a computer services company where he performed in a number of strategic technology and business roles.
