Julie Meringer

Vice President & Principal

Forrester

As a principal for The CIO Group, Julie is responsible for addressing current CIO member research needs. Julie does this by proactively working with a core group of more than 20 CIOs, answering their personal business and technology queries. She facilitates key meetings where the member CIOs gather to discuss a member-voted topic, and she also writes the member-directed research of best practices.

Prior to taking this role, Julie spent two years in Forrester's London office as group director for Forrester Europe and acting managing director for Forrester's UK operations. In those roles, Julie drove Forrester's WholeView™ content in Europe. Specifically, she influenced the research centered on technology leadership, enterprise applications, supply chain, manufacturing, and B2B, as well as telecom and mobile services in Europe.

With more than 11 years of experience in the technology research industry, Julie has provided in-depth analysis and guidance to many senior technology executives. During the past two years, she has worked with the top IT executives at Barclays Bank PLC, Syngenta, and Xerox. The issues she has analyzed for these companies include how to organize IT to better support the business and which service provider has the best business process outsourcing expertise for a specific industry.

Julie has also worked with leading-edge firms in countries such as Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France, Canada, Japan, Thailand, and South Africa to define their IT organizations and use of outside service providers.
