Bryan McLaughlin is the Information Security Officer at Creighton University, where he plays a significant role in strategic planning and policy development for information technology infrastructure and programs.  Recent security projects include an ethical hack of Creighton’s IT systems to test security; deployment of a virtual private network to provide secure connectivity to remote clinics; and implementation of Creighton’s HIPAA compliance program.  Bryan is a member of the Creighton IT executive committee with responsibilities for strategic planning, resource planning, and budgeting; and holds certifications in Information Security, IT audit, security management, and HIPAA privacy and security.  Bryan has held security positions with Creighton University, Compaq Computer Corporation, and First Data Corporation.
