Rob was CTO/COO from 1989-2000 of a global provider or real-time market data systems where he oversaw the design and implementation of the first TCP/IP based system that spanned 45 countries and more then 25,000 routers on the largest OSPF system ever built This system carried data to more than 200,000 financial market participants. From 2000 to 2005 Rob was CEO of a global managed hosting and network company where he directed the development of the worlds first virtualized hosting infrastructure built with the ability to electronically provision full three tier infrastructure entirely with software automation. This virtualized hosting infrastructure gained his company the “leader” position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant beating companies such as IBM and EDS. His company managed more the 20,000 servers and owned over 2,000,000 square feet of data center. In 2005 Rob started a new company with the worlds first subscription based, completely virtual IT service. This service eliminates the capital dependant model of traditional IT that leads to low availability and utilization of IT investment.
