Marin County
Ron joined the County of Marin IST staff in January 2006 to lead the Property Tax support team. He and his team shutdown the last County mainframe application this January, 2010. The IST department is currently developing a strategic plan to better integrate all Land based systems across the County.
Before joining the County of Marin, Ron spent 25 years at ATT in software development and operation’s management. He oversaw the consolidation and centralization of these IT support activities. His IT experience extends from mainframe to server to web technologies.
After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in Economics, he spent several years as an educator and construction manager before committing to a career in information technology. He has been married 24 years and now lives in Sonoma, California. He and his wife, Susan, have 2 children. The oldest, Whitney, graduated from UCSD in 2008 and is working in San Francisco. His son, Spencer, is a senior at UCSC studying electrical engineering.
