
Rob Lowden

Rob Lowden is the System Infrastructure Director at University Information Technology Services division at Indiana University. His responsibilities include data center operations in Bloomington and Indianapolis, Storage and Virtualization, production scheduling, identity management, database administration and enterprise system administration. Rob has served on several international open source projects and was an ex-officio member of the Sakai board. He currently is leading a 32.7M$ / 88K GSQFT data center project on the Bloomington campus. Rob has also been recognized as a Computer World Honors Laureate in 2008 and 2009. He has over 15 years experience in information technology including six years with the United States Navy. Rob holds a BS degree from Purdue University.
