Les Barnes has been the IT Manager at The Bank of Fayetteville since 2002. From 1995 until 2002, until he was being hired as the IT Manager, Les provided network management and PC support to the Bank as a contractor for a local computer company. Now he oversees the IT strategy, systems design and management, and implementation of all information systems throughout the Bank’s network, and works closely with the Board and senior management to ensure IT goals and objectives coincide with the Bank’s overall strategic plans. He oversaw the design and migration of all x86 servers from individual, physical systems into a consolidated virtual data center. Les is the primary technical support for all virtual environment and physical systems: VMware host and virtual servers administrator, storage systems administrator, network switch administrator, firewall administrator, backup and DR administration. He designed and oversaw construction of the Bank’s first true data center which provides multiple, redundant systems for power protection, environmental controls, data circuit pathways, and 24/7 operational capabilities with off-site, redundant systems backup.

Les is a University of Arkansas graduate with B. S. in Industrial Engineering. He is a retired US Army Officer having served 20 years working in military intelligence and computer systems automation. He has more than 25 years experience working on IT systems.
