Colonel Mark S. Kross

Colonel Mark S. Kross is the Director of
Communications and Information for the National Air
and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), Ohio. He is
responsible for the information technology (IT)
infrastructure for the $2.1 billion center with an annual
budget of over $345 million. The directorate provides
a broad range of integrated, tailored IT and products
and services to support Air Force and joint
operational forces, national policymakers and the
acquisition community.
Colonel Kross was born 27 June 1961 in Ann Arbor,
Michigan, and graduated from S. R. Butler High
School, Huntsville, Alabama, in 1979. He entered the
Air Force in 1983 after graduation from the University
of Alabama. He has held a variety of assignments
involving command, expeditionary communications,
software development, training, and operations.
