Ed Koschka

Edward Koschka has been with the Community Health Network (CHNw) since 1983. Mr. Koschka currently holds the title of Network Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining the Community Health Network, Mr. Koschka worked in various technology and management positions for Alverno Administrative Services, Inc., the corporate computer center for the multiple hospitals of the Sisters of St. Francis, Mishawaka, IN. In total, he brings a total of over 35 years of Healthcare Information Technology experience to these sessions. In addition, Mr. Koschka is also an adjunct professor with the Masters in Health Administration program of Indiana University.

Mr. Koschka is currently responsible for Information Systems that support 5 major tertiary care hospitals in central Indiana, with a total bed capacity of approximately 850 beds. The Information Technology division currently supports 6000 + PC’s and 10,000+ telephones in over 200 remote facilities. In addition, CHNw has 2000 physician users linked to the enterprise infrastructure. CHNw’s central data center provides over 150+ software based applications used by the nine corporations of the Community Health Network.

Mr. Koschka holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University (1975) and an MBA from Indiana University (1987).
