Dave is currently SVP and Chief Information Officer for Security Benefit and manages both the award-winning and nationally-recognized Information Technology and Customer Service groups.

Dave joined Security Benefit in 1999, to lead the company’s Information Technology Strategy effort. Since that time, he has played a key role in the development and deployment of Security Benefit’s new IT architecture and Customer Service operating model. Through Dave’s leadership, the IT organization is adapting to meet the needs of a changing business environment.

Dave draws upon more than 20 years of experience in IT development and architecture. Throughout his years of experience, he developed a tremendous working knowledge of many different technology platforms and operating environments. He combines this knowledge with an understanding of business strategy and vision for integrating technology solutions that enable the business to operate efficiently and effectively.

Dave’s roots are in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he obtained his B.S in Business and Economics at Saint Mary’s College of California in 1984. He got his start in Information Technology with EDS and served as Vice President of Applications Development for a large technology firm in the Silicon Valley.

Dave serves as an advisor to the Washburn CIS program, and is a member of Forrester’s Executive CIO program and serves on several industry-related technology committees.
