Jim has been at Pella Corporation for 11 years and in his current role as Director of IT Operations for the past 8.  Jim joined Pella in 1998 as a Sr. Business Systems Manager with responsibility for managing all internal applications.  This included manufacturing systems, finance, human resources and many other small systems.  In 2001 Jim began his current responsibility as Director of IT Operations.  Currently, he is responsible for Infrastructure and IT operations.  This includes networks (voice, data & video), Microsoft Infrastructure (pc’s, servers, Exchange, SMS, etc.), Unix, Storage, data centers and the IT service desk.

Prior to joining Pella Jim worked for Praxair Surface Technologies.  Praxair Surface Technologies, a division of Praxair, has approximately 40 locations around the world.  Jim held various positions throughout his 11 years at Praxair. Jim started as a Systems Engineer supporting networks and servers, moved into a technical management role and eventually became the Worldwide IT Director for the division.  Jim’s career at Praxair provided a solid background in international business and acquisition integration.

Jim has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Evansville and an MBA from Indiana University.
