Steve Jensen
Senior Director - Information Security, Compliance, and Business Continuity Management

Steve Jensen has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology with a specialty in Information Security.  Steve is currently the Senior Director and Chief Information Security Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, as well as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Minnesota Health Information Exchange, LLC.   Steve has responsibility for identity and access management, threat and vulnerability management, IT risk and compliance management, business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
   
Steve began his career in 1989 with IBM.  In 1993, he was asked to serve as the Vice President of Information Security Services for U.S. Bank.  In 2002, he joined Ecolab as the Director of Global Security, and later served as the Director of Development for Sales, Service and Marketing.  

Steve received a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 1988.   He also is a Certified Information Systems’ Security Professional (CISSP) since June 2000 and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) since March 2004.

Steve is married and has four children - two sons and two daughters. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and sports.
