Jon Bolen
EVP, CTO, and General Manager
Iowa Operations Westec Intelligent Surveillance
Jon Bolen is a business-centric technology leader who focuses on what he calls – disciplined execution. Many strategies or ideas have real merit, but it’s the ability for a team to focus on executing the underlying tasks that creates real value for the business. That’s disciplined execution. Jon has honed this philosophy in the fifteen years that he has been deploying technology.
While receiving his MBA with High Honors from Emory University he worked for AT&T GIS (NCR) in product marketing. After graduation, he spent several years leading technology initiatives for a petroleum retailer before joining Radiant Systems. In his eight years with Radiant, he led the Petroleum Industry Group, the Petroleum and Grocery Product Development Group and, finally, was their first General Manager of European Operations. In 2004, Jon joined Trax Retail Solutions as Chief Information Office. He and his team re-architected a retail-focused business intelligence product in just 18 months resulting in the successful sale of the company to March Networks.
In 2006, Jon joined Westec Interactive (now Westec Intelligent Surveillance) as their Chief Technology Officer. In addition to redesigning the entire suite of products, Jon played a key role in the acquisition and integration of Digital Witness (a privately held competitor). Currently, Jon is EVP, Chief Technology Officer and the General Manager of Iowa Operations for Westec. When not pushing Westec forward, Jon coaches his son’s soccer team and is on the President of the Soccer West Soccer Club in Des Moines.
