Jo Lee has been with Sallie Mae/USA Group since November 1989. Before joining Sallie Mae, Jo Lee was Chief Operating Officer at Training Specialist, Inc. In this capacity, she worked with Indiana’s Economic Development Office to bring new or expanding businesses to the state. Her primary focus was in the transition of new technology to the Indiana workforce, focusing primarily on the Asian market. 

In 2000, Sallie Mae acquired USA Group, where Jo Lee held the position of Vice President, Business Solutions. During her tenure with USA Group and Sallie Mae, Jo Lee has championed numerous Application Development and Infrastructure/Operations initiatives. Additionally, Jo Lee has had responsibility for leading several IT mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integrations. Today, as Vice President of Enterprise Technology, Jo Lee is responsible for the strategic deployment of technologies at Sallie Mae. She is responsible for all Enterprise Architecture initiatives, as well as Distributed Computing, Application Infrastructure Support, and Developer Support. Areas of particular focus include Service Oriented Architecture, B2B, Business Process Management, Enterprise Data Management, and Identity Management.
