• Promoted to vice president – information technology in January 2000.
• Appointed to insurance management team January 2001.

Prior to working at FBL Financial Group, Inc:

• Worked for 24 years in several capacities at Principal Financial Group in the information systems department.

   So you know him better … Doug says:

‘I enjoy many activities outside of work. For exercise, I like to run. I really enjoy getting outdoors to play golf, farm, hunt and fish, all in the appropriate seasons. My wife, Diane, and I also like to ride bicycles - we’ve been on RAGBRAI a number of times – and we like to camp and hike as well.  Diane, and I have been married for more than 30 years and are the parents of two sons, Matt and Brian. Both are married, and Diane and I have four grandchildren.’
