Mike Goodwin

Mike Goodwin is vice president of information technology (IT) and a corporate officer at Hallmark Cards, Inc. He also serves on the company’s personal expression group management team.

In this role, Goodwin is responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies companywide to enable business goals and financial performance. He focuses on providing technology solutions that advance operational and cost efficiencies, and also improve decision making and communication.

Goodwin began his career at Hallmark in 1990 as an end-user technology analyst and has held positions of increasing responsibility in IT, including manager of micro-systems and local area networks, strategy and planning director, and business development director for the creative and operations divisions. In 2003, he was named IT service delivery director. He was promoted to his current position and named a corporate officer in March 2006.

Prior to joining Hallmark, Goodwin served as an officer in the U.S. Army.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., and an M.B.A. from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS.

Goodwin currently serves on the board of directors for Support Kansas City, a nonprofit organization that provides business and administrative services to other nonprofit groups, and Kansas City CareLink, a nonprofit organization that enables a safety net of medical and dental services for the uninsured. He is a past board member of the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center and the Community Resource Network.
