As Vice President and CIO of Meritage Homes, Mr. Filandro is responsible for delivering a comprehensive set of solutions to manage the Homebuilding Operations and Financial Management of the company. He is also responsible for managing the operations and strategic direction for Information Services. Mr. Filandro has been with Meritage Homes since 2004 where he helped transform the Information Technology group through significant changes in the way the organization managed technology. Mr. Filandro led several strategic efforts including comprehensive IT Governance, Consolidated Data Center Management and Operations, Centralized Service and Support, Information Security and Standards, IP Telephony Solution and Procurement Standards. Mr. Filandro began in an Infrastructure role supporting the efforts of an extensive ERP deployment and continues to drive the ERP efforts in his current role as CIO. In addition to the many technology efforts completed under the leadership of Mr. Filandro, he has been successful in assembling a highly effective technology team operating under a common set of metrics that identify value to the business while providing important trending information to the technology groups.

Mr. Filandro continues to drive the strategic efforts at Meritage Homes to complete the comprehensive set of ERP tools including Financial Management, Homebuilding Operations Management, Sales Contract Management, Lead and Prospect Management, Design Center Options Management and Business Intelligence. These solutions are delivered through a host of complimentary application sets all integrated to deliver the maximum benefit to the organization while maintaining strong cost effectiveness. The business has been able to leverage these solutions in order to make critical decisions about the homebuilding market and respond quickly to adjust to market trends.

Mr. Filandro has held various senior level technology positions throughout his 16 year career covering several different vertical markets including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Technology and Construction. Mr. Filandro spent five years as a Director of Professional Services for large multi-national technology services organizations allowing him to build greater insight into the consulting services model and the benefits to the enterprise.

Mr. Filandro holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelors of Science in Business from Western International University where he graduated Cum Laude. Mr. Filandro is an Adjunct Professor who teaches Graduate and Undergraduate Finance, Information Technology, Management and General Business for Western International University.
