Company Background
More than 48 years ago, Bandag revolutionized the tire retreading industry by introducing a cold "precured" process designed to produce durable retreads from used truck tire casings. At that time, Bandag had five employees and one manufacturing facility to produce and sell retreading materials to our one and only franchised, independent tire dealership. From this humble start to today, Bandag's commitment to its people, products and processes has been the key to their many successes. Today Bandag is a global company, with 13 production facilities on 5 continents, producing retreading equipment, more than 275 tread designs and sizes, and providing needed services to trucking fleets world wide.

Our equipment, products, and services are distributed to and through a network of more than 1100 franchised, independent tire dealers in more than 100 countries. They utilize our patented precured process and retread products to recycle tire casings into high quality replacement tires that can deliver as much reliability, durability, and performance as a new tire.

Although Bandag’s success has been attributed to retreading truck tires, the company focus has been expanded to include branded service offerings and outsourcing opportunities to fleet customers. Bandag keeps trucks rolling by creating and delivering the best products, services, and solutions for our customers.
