Troy Clavel
Sr. Enterprise Architect
Information Dynamics, contractor to USGS
Mr. Clavel joined Information Dynamics in April 2009 as Sr. Enterprise Architect. His role is to manage the EA program at the EROS Data Center in Sioux Falls (Department of Interior/USGS). In this role, he will provide leadership for EA and SOA strategy for satellite mission ground systems and data center operations. His role involves a high degree of EA expertise, executive communications, strategic planning, and business experience to implement an effective EA in this technical and system engineering environment. Mr. Clavel also provides consultation to NASA periodically outside of the USGS engagement.
Mr. Clavel has 25 years of experience in the Information Technology industry with a major focus on data center development and operations. Prior to joining Information Dynamics he held various roles as CIO of Total Card, Inc. (4 years) VP of IS Operations at 1st Financial Bank USA (5 years) and Director of Information Services at Specialized Card Services (3 years).
During his tenure at Total Card, Inc. and 1st Financial Bank USA, Mr. Clavel was one of the Board of Directors of the Mid-America Bank Card Association, a First Data association of Bank Customers,. Before Specialized Card Services, Mr. Clavel assumed a leadership role in establishing data centers for several credit card banks in the secured, sub-prime, and prime markets on a consulting basis as President of Western Micro Systems, Inc. (15 years).
Mr. Clavel is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a degree in Economics and Business. Mr. Clavel also has 7 years of Law Enforcement experience with various municipal and state agencies.
