David Cagigal

David Cagigal is a seasoned executive with over 25 years experience in information technology management. He has been CITO since October, 2004 and is responsible for application delivery and the computing and network infrastructure.

Prior to Alliant Energy, David served as Director of Information Services with DeVry, Inc. where he managed a mission-critical $3M Application Service Provider (ASP) contract to ensure a reliable eLearning platform (course availability) for 15,000 students which was the fastest growing segment of the corporation.

Prior to DeVry, David was the Director, Information Application Services for DePaul University, managing three product lines of a PeopleSoft ERP investment for Student Administration, Finance and Human Resources university-wide, as well as an infrastructure group.

David also worked at Maytag in various IT capacities, notably as General Manager within the Strategic Business Development Group, in which he developed an Intelligent Appliances (eCommerce) Strategy and Business Plan centered on consumer value, technology feasibility and profitability.

Before Maytag, David spent many years with Amoco Corporation in a number of senior IT management roles; the last as Program Manager for Supply and Logistics. He was responsible for 100+ systems servicing $30+ billion in supply and product (Natural Gas, Crude, Refined and Chemical) movement through 15K+ miles of pipelines, 4000+ truck loads per day to over 3000 dealer sites as well as various marine and rail shipments for major sectors of the corporation.

David holds a BS and MBA from DePaul University.
