
Scott Buchholz

Vice president of Information Technology Scott A. Buchholz directs the information technology related support and services that provide electricity and natural gas services to about one million customers in five states. His responsibilities include business applications, hardware/software infrastructure, Information Technology operations (data center operations, service desk, and desktop support), Information Security, voice/data communications, and data base management.
Buchholz has worked in roles of increasing responsibility for Aquila and its subsidiaries, since 1980. He most recently served as the Six Sigma Deployment Leader for Administration and, before that, as general manager of Aquila’s corporate Information Technology function. He was promoted to his current position in 2005 .
Buchholz holds a B.A. in business administration from Bellevue University , Bellevue, Nebraska, and an MBA from Rockhurst University. He has been trained as a six sigma black-belt.
Buchholz is a member of the Kansas City Chief Information Officers (CIO) organization and serves on two Kansas City not-for-profit boards, Catholic Charities Foundation and the Full Employment Counsel’s Northland Investment Board.
Buchholz was selected into the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership development program in 2006. Graduation from the program will be in June 2008.
