Ray Bender
Research Advisor & Author

Ray is a research advisor in the Forrester CIO Group and brings more than 16 years of experience as an advisor to senior executives on the management of technology assets. His areas of expertise are corporate culture, the human aspects of change, leadership, communications, creating alliances, and executive perspective on technology.

He also educates nontechnical executives on managing IT resources.
Previously, Ray was vice president and research director for Gartner Group's North American Executive Program. He also served as a consulting instructor at IBM's Advanced Business Institute.

Ray is currently a member of the faculty at Southwest Texas State University, and he has served on the business school faculty at Teikyo Post University, Waterbury, Conn. A renowned speaker, Ray has also coauthored the books Culture.com and I Should Be Burnt Out By Now . . . So How Come I'm Not?

Ray has a B.Sc. in history and sociology, an M.B.A, and a Ph.D. in management. He is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College and is a retired colonel.
