Brad Beagle is Director of Information Technology for TURCK Inc., a Plymouth based manufacturer of industrial electronics.  He graduated from The University of Michigan with a degree in computer science and remote sensing and then, in a move not unlike taking a telescope to biology class, went to work for a proximity sensing company!

In his 20 years tenure with TURCK, Beagle has tried to maintain a balance between well chosen commercial tools and well crafted custom tools.  But, at the end of the day, information technology is about “information”.  Integrating, normalizing, synchronizing, indexing, optimizing and protecting data is the first order of business at TURCK and Beagle believes this “data first” mindset accounts for the strategic importance of IT in his company.  By integrating all critical data elements from every application (through enterprise data architecture) TURCK can leverage all of its information resources very quickly.  The result is an IT department that says “yes” more than “no” and is in the position to facilitate change rather than tethering the business to a certain methodology.
