Atlas Lee is Director of Information Technology and Business Continuity at the law firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon in Kansas City, Missouri. Atlas has extensive experience with business continuity planning, disaster recovery and information systems security.  He has over 25 years of Information Technology experience, 18 of which in the legal industry, and the past 18 focused specifically on business continuity planning, disaster recovery and information systems security.  As the Director of Business Continuity he developed, managed and implemented all phases of the firm’s business continuity strategy, disaster recovery and information protection program.  Widely regarded as a legal industry expert, he is well versed in business impact analysis, risk analysis, technology recovery planning, life/safety planning, alternate data center/workspace selection, business resumption planning and information protection programs.

Atlas is a Certified Business Continuity Professional, and has spoken at many distinguished national and international conferences and seminars on business continuity planning, disaster preparedness and recovery, and information systems security.  He recently spoke at the 2008 International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) conference. He is a published author of several white papers on business continuity planning, disaster recovery and information systems security that have appeared in publications such as LawNet Inc., ILTA, Law Technology News, North Carolina and Oregon State Bar Law Practice Management, and the Atlanta Daily Report.  He was profiled in the February 2006 issue of Peer to Peer magazine, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Partnership for Emergency Planning.  He has also presented the Masters Course in Business Continuity Planning for the ARK Group in Chicago.
