David A. Albright

David Albright joined MoneyGram International, Inc. in May 2000 as the Vice President of Information Technology. In October of 2001 he was promoted to the position of Vice President, Chief Information Officer. His responsibilities include defining the long-term direction, development, deployment and day-to-day management of all technology initiatives for the company. In March 2006, David was promoted to the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer. The Information Technology Group has a staff size of 240 supporting company technology products located in over 170 countries with more than 100,000 locations worldwide.

In 2005 and 2006 the MoneyGram IT Organization was selected by CIO magazine as one of the Top 100 IT organizations. This annual award recognizes IT organizations for their innovative use of technology development practices. In addition, MoneyGram IT was selected by InfoWorld Magazine in 2005 as one of the Top 100 IT organizations for its use of leading-edge technologies.

Prior to joining MoneyGram David was the Director of Information Technology for Center Point Energy, a division of Reliant Energy, Inc. a Houston, Texas based company. At Center Point Energy he was responsible for providing direction for four regionally based systems development teams, along with a local data center and telecommunication organization. David was with Center Point Energy for 17 years.

David Albright started his career with Gambles, Inc. a retail organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he held various technical positions in the Information Technology division.

David has a B.S. Degree in Computer Science.
