As Deputy Director of Technology, Tim Welsh is responsible for the ongoing IT strategy and operations improvements for driving growth-centric IT standards and practices. Mr. Welsh oversees the IT budget including IT resources, vendor management, contract management and strategic initiatives. Mr. Welsh has a long standing tenure with the City of Louisville, holding senior proficiencies and certifications in strategic planning and project management.
Prior to his service in government, Mr. Welsh held positions in the private, non-profit and education sectors. He enabled immigration reform serving as Chief Aid to the President of United Farm Workers, an organization dedicated to legislation and reform for farm workers. Prior to that, he was the English department head at the German-Nicaraguan School in Managua.
Mr. Welsh holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in Philosophy and a Masters degree from Bellarmine University.
