Gary Acromite is chief information officer of The Gavilon Group, LLC, a
leading agriculture and energy commodities management firm.
Prior to joining Gavilon, Acromite served as vice president, information technology at United Malt Holdings, LP, (UMH), where he assessed and designed a comprehensive global IT applications architecture and infrastructure, and developed and implemented a Lean Information Technology Framework. Prior to UMH, Acromite held senior IT and supply chain leadership roles at a number of leading firms, including ASAlliances Biofuels, LLC; USC Consulting Group, LLC; ConAgra Beef Company; Wolverine World Wide, Inc.; and Honeywell, Inc.
The culmination of this experience has resulted in Acromite’s specialized skills in the transformation of ineffective organizations into high performers, complex project implementations that achieve objectives, development of practical technology architectures and solutions, strategic supplier management, technology investment evaluations that drive business value, supply chain optimization through technology solutions, and IT strategic alignment with business needs and direction. Acromite’s business system knowledge includes OpenLink Financials Commodity Trade solutions, SAP, Oracle eBusiness Suite,, PeopleSoft,, MS Dynamics, Hyperion, Collaboration solutions, Aspen Technologies,and a variety of Software-as-a-Service solutions.
Acromite is currently a member of the Summa Technology Group board of advisors and is a former member of the Net(net) board of advisors.
Acromite received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a dual major in finance and economics from the University of Minnesota. Acromite also earned a Master of Software Design and Development from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota
